How a Fintech built an accessible and dynamic multilingual website quickly and in budget

An international Fintech company wanted to ensure that their website was redesigned with Eu Accessibility compliance built in, and extended reach to a German and Italian audience.

The challenge

Several key challenges emerged:

  • High word volume vs. limited budget: with over 120,000 words to translate, the client needed a solution that ensured high quality for the main website, while controlling costs.
  • Need for localisation, not just translation: the website included product messaging, investor and regulatory information, risk disclosures, and editorial content, all requiring tailored tone and cultural adaptation to resonate with international audiences whilst respecting local regulations.
  • Accessibility maturity: they understood the legal need to build accessibility into their content but needed a partner to guide them.
  • Lack of internal expertise: the client had limited knowledge of translation workflows and was unsure how to approach the project efficiently.

The approach

Our role extended well beyond that of a traditional translation provider, we served as a partner, guiding the client through every step of the process.

We delivered a hybrid approach that balanced quality, scale, and budget.

  • Accessibility review: we initially ran an audit of the existing content including templates, audience-specific pages, country and language checks then provided a report on recommendations. This led to the remediation phase to support the web build then completing with a post-implementation review and sign off.
  • SEO and Images: through a cultural review, we worked with the digital team to localise SEO terms and validate that images resonated for each market.
  • Translation & Localisation: we categorised content types for the 120,000 words, by agreeing that 20,500 words needed polished human translation and copywriting, and that the remaining 103,000 words of lower-sensitivity content, we agreed trained high-quality machine translation paired with human review with the relevant disclaimers.
  • Tone alignment through testing: we ran test translations, helping the client validate tone and clarity before greenlighting the full project.
  • Fast, clear execution: once approved, translations were delivered within 10 business days and seamlessly handed off to the web provider for integration.
